About Merchant Makers - where eCommerce is made simple
Mark Alliston, Director of Merchant Makers Limited, started the company in 1998, having worked in computers for 22 years. Based in Henley-upon-Thames, Oxfordshire, Mark welcomes the opportunity to visit local businesses to demonstrate how his product, The Merchant Maker, can help them to open their own online shops.
Mark says, “Merchant Makers came into existence through the development of our own cataloguing software. This software is easy to use and enables our clients to maintain their own list of products on the internet. We developed shopping cart templates to allow visitors to our clients’ web sites to select and buy products online by sending their orders by encrypted email.”
“Some of our clients do not want to get involved in maintaining their sites and so we develop and maintain their sites according to their specifications.”
Merchant Makers Limited operates through the trading name The Timeless Dimension Company.
Mark and his colleagues have many years’ experience in the development of large and small software applications.
Languages include Delphi, Perl, Javascript, Basic, SQL and Dbase.
In addition to his interest in software programming, Mark is a keen nature photographer.
